Tegan Mumford - Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Counsellor & Gestalt Psychotherapist

I'm an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, counsellor and Relational Gestalt Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience supporting people through life's challenges and transitions. I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds and also provide clinical supervision to counsellors, social workers and psychotherapists.

I believe that meaningful therapy begins with a relationship built on trust, curiosity and respect. I aim to offer a warm, inclusive and compassionate space where you can slow down, explore your experiences, and make sense of the patterns that shape your life. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, questions of identity, or simply feeling stuck, I'll work alongside you to support greater awareness, choice and connection.

My approach is grounded in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy and integrates trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, strengths and hopes, recognising that healing happens within the context of our relationships, communities and the wider social world.

I have particular experience and interest in working with LGBTQIA+ communities; people exploring sex, sexuality, intimacy and relationships; and those involved in activism, organising and other forms of social change. I understand that our personal wellbeing is deeply connected to the environments and systems we live within, and I bring this awareness into my work with care, curiosity and compassion.

Above all, I hope therapy becomes a place where you feel seen, supported and able to move towards a life that feels more connected, meaningful and authentically your own.
